The Opportunity

This role will be responsible for administering our key HR systems and leading on the collation and analysis of HR & People data.

In this vital role, you will provide technical advice and support on HR systems and processes, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. You will also be responsible for preparing and delivering People data for KPIs and management information to our HR team, senior management, and external partners. This will ensure that our systems are being utilised to their full potential, and People data is being used to inform and influence decision-making at the highest levels of our business.

Applicants will need to have previous HR systems/data experience, ideally with Business Objects and PowerBI.

We are a flexible employer, and this role offers 3 days hybrid working at our office (for example at our Birmingham office) and home working.

What you will be doing

Be the first point of contact for HR system and People data matters
Supporting system administration and configuration of HR systems (including but not limited to iTrent) including supporting system upgrades
Regularly cleansing and auditing data ensuring that HR systems are being utilised correctly and efficiently
Identifying, suggesting, and delivering process and system improvements
Collate and distribute standard management reports and data outputs in line with agreed schedules
Creating, developing and maintaining reports and dashboards, demonstrating awareness of HR metrics
Presenting, communicating and disseminating data analysis outputs, making data-based recommendations to support strategic decisions
Train and support end users to ensure that they are utilising systems correctly, and are able to interpret data outputs
Maintaining internal and external system and process guidance
Be responsible for bulk processes, such as the annual salary review, utilising Microsoft Excel and Word
Undertake project work, as directed by the HR Systems and Services Manager
Assist the wider HR Team with any general related tasks, as and when required
What we will need from you

Oral communication – Speaks clearly, fluently and confidently to both individuals and groups
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines
Flexible and able to work as part of a team
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level
Experience in a HR function and familiarity with HR processes and best practice
Knowledge of HR system administration (ideally iTrent), particularly design, configuration and maintenance, workflow processes and bulk uploads
Experience of creating and developing reports using data visualisation tools such as Business Objects and PowerBI
Experience of analysing HR data and presenting this to stakeholders in a clear and consistent manner
